My Blog Is Pretty

I’m not sure if it was the idea of supporting my own audio files or having the ability to host other domains, but purchasing my own server today was the worst fucking thing I could have ever done. Firstly, I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. Secondly, I hate acronyms that lead me to tech jargon.

I signed up with Yahoo first and discovered immediately that they were worthless. They uploaded a very old WordPress file onto my server and it was all hell from there. I decided to cancel the subscription and went on to Dreamhost where a buddy of mine has his business. Of course, I soon found out I’m an asshole.

First, WordPress uploaded fine. I imported my WordPress files from here to the Dreamhost server with no problem, but then my computer froze. Of course. Then I couldn’t do anything from the server so I decided to delete the blog and start all over. That was the kick in the self-mutilating-balls I needed tonight. I’ve been stuck on trying to re-upload WordPress to my server with absolutely no luck because my citoyenmag.com file is “not empty.” Well, how the fuck do I shake the bin and empty the darn thing? I just want to be able to upload 16 minutes podcasts!

Someone help.
