Video: Kermit The Frog Sings LCD Soundsystem’s “New York I Love You…”
5December 4, 2008 by Citizen192
The folk at Steregum allude to the Kermit The Frog-like sounds of LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy on “Sound Of Silver”, so I guess it makes sense that Murphy and director Simon Owens imagined this electro-ballad to be sung by Kermie himself. Question: is this the real Kermit? Like, did he waddle over from Jim Henson’s studios, pluck his scrawny ass down in the LES and perform? Or is this puppet the creation of a very talented Williamsburg loft-rat? Really, I want to know.

It’s like the soundtrack to the NYC Sunday-at-twighlight coke hangover. The odd consequence of a binge beginning with a snort of the Strokes and hit its euphoric/melacholic peak with Interpol’s NYC. I’m shocked it took so long.

More to come soon from tirado. No really. Shit’s brewing.
Well, brewing anything is usually messy and stinky, so I hope you’re wearing gloves. It’s about fucking time you commented! This is me being funny.
Maybe if I had a clothespin on my nose or was wearing a ventilator I could get things done faster. But good shit takes time. If you ask Thurston Moore, he’d refer you to his work of art in 1991: The Year Punk Broke. Check the vid at about say, 1:33-2:10. The real work of art, as it were, goes down at about 1:59.

Did you know that you can get your very own muppet created at FAO Schwartz in NY? seriously.
I’d want my puppet to have tear-drops under his eyes. Hard-Core.
