Elbow-Toe, ARMSROCK In Los Angeles: Jeremy Fish In San Francisco.

This year, the holidays mean more than family visits, endless cookie-consumption and a reason to drink hard liquor everyday to celebrate baby Jesus turning water into wine. In over a week I’ll be taking a road trip from Los Angeles, Ca to Seattle, WA and I intend to stop by galleries the entire way up. I haven’t told my girlfriend this, but I’m sure she won’t mind.
First stop will be Thinkspace in Los Angeles, where Brooklyn-based artists Elbow-Toe (above) is co-showing with artist ARMSROCK in a show titled “Mostly Memory.” I’m excited because Elbow-Toe will make your soul cheers to beauty and your eyes circumvent the necessity to blink. Also, who doesn’t enjoy and artist who draws while wearing a buffalo’s hollowed head?
A week later I’ll be traveling to Seattle and making a quick pit-stop at Fifty24SF gallery to see Jeremy Fish’s tribute to 19th century San Francisco in “Ghosts of the Barbary Coast.”
Raise your hand if you want Jeremy Fish to turn these into an animatronics piece of masterawesome.
