Calendar: Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk: DT Clubbin’: It’s All “Cryptograms.”

Downtown Los Angeles’ continuous revamping involves much more than wannabe Times Square promenades and chic-less plazas. In fact, it’s most vibrant addition to nightlife happens only once and month and doesn’t involve the auctioning of million dollar lofts. Entering its 5th year of artistic gathering, Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk, a monthly celebration of free art in Los Angeles, will kick off its largest (estimated) evening this Thursday February 12th when more than 40 galleries participate in free admission for patrons.
More than 2,000 art-lovers, creatives, innovators and appreciators of it all, will converge on LA streets (between 2nd & 9th, Main & Spring streets) to straddle sidewalks, dodge parking meters and converse with the local residents they find peddling their crafts. The event is from 12pm to 9pm, though some venues close earlier. There’s even a helpful map! Snippet below and full map at the official website.
