You can tell the world to slow down from up here and it will listen. Droplets of rain hit the pool and create ripples of movement. The sun sets slightly NW and the clouds follow to be eaten up. Can you ever distinguish where a cloud begins and where it ends when it’s pitch black? I snap a few shots and mutter, “These won’t do this justice.” I keep snapping, dry my brow, run my hands on the edge of the water and stroll back inside where it’s warm and dry. Maybe I’ll awake in time for the rise and the purging.
