Photo: 3652 Days: #51: The People’s Los Angeles.

I spotted this at the Southern California Library in South Los Angeles, Ca. We set up a field recording to document youth who grew up in that part of LA and plastered on every grand space of the slightly disgruntled building was a mural, painting or poster. This is one of my favorites. From the library’s website:

The Southern California Library is a people’s library dedicated to documenting and preserving the histories of communities in struggle for justice and using our collections to address the challenges of the present so that all people have the ability, resources, and freedom to make their own histories.
