The building I’ve been living in while in Los Angeles looks like a spaceship. Our apartment is one of only a few with balcony access and it’s gone severely underused. Last night I finished watching a Joe Strummer documentary on IFC and walked out to get some fresh. I looked over the railings and scoffed at the traffic. I looked up and saw stars. Then I began to hum the Star Wars battle anthem. I’m not even sure that’s what you call it, so spare me your Star Wars correction.

You don’t see too many stars above Los Angeles, but I do tend to look up more often here than I do in New York City. Fresno, my next stop, will likely grant me a few more specs of starlight over the next few weeks, but I doubt my next place of residence will have such an extravagant facade. In fact, I hope there’s enough to entertain me on the ground in Fresno because looking up at the stars, dreaming and muttering “man, that Wilshire apartment in Downtown Los Angeles was amazing…” is something foreseeable in my future.

Which brings me to a question: what are your tips on things to do/see in Fresno?
