July 13 2010 The Tuesday tianguis down the street from my place is the type of experience I want in my back pocket wherever I go: La SeƱora with her “tengo nopalitos” shout; the pomegranate seller always telling me to put a little salt and lemon on the seeds and then chase it with tequila; the free fruit samples; the battered codfish tacos with extra large tortillas for lunch. June 16 2010 Ezra’s Place is a restaurant located in the North Valley of Albuquerque. It’s an older part of town decorated by the oldest cottonwood trees in the city. I met some new friends over the last few weeks and they invited me out to try, what they said, was the best food in Albuquerque. I wasn’t skeptical because these were the same friends who invited me over to Albuquerque’s best taco truck where I had delicious carnitas, al pastor and carne asada tacos the likes of DF, minus the pineapple. June 1 2010 “Mijo! Por que cuando estoy toda fea…” The reaction is the same each time I take a photo of my mom. Even though she’s adorable, she always thinks I’m taking a photo at the wrong time.
