  1. Events: Podpourri @ Galapagos Art Space: Wed Jan 27: Listening Involves Taking The Train.

    StoryCorps, Cindy Chupak and The Onion are a few of the featured podcasts showcased at Podpourri – an interactive listening event at Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo, BK. It’s touted as “Podcasts. Digital Media. Live.” and does sound enticing, except for the fact that listening isn’t really a communal experience for me. I prefer blasting audio, in my underwear, with a pot full of cafecito ready to go! StoryCorps – the oral history project – will have a listening kiosk, while The Onion will air never-before-seen footage from their video podcasts. Lots of laughs and lots of tears. I think

    This American Life host Ira Glass and famous composer cousin Philip Glass will be speaking and performing together January 21, 2010 at 7pm in the Soho Apple store.
