Maybe if I had a clothespin on my nose or was wearing a ventilator I could get things done faster. But good shit takes time. If you ask Thurston Moore, he'd refer you to his work of art in 1991: The Year Punk Broke. Check the vid at about say, 1:33-2:10. The real work of art, as it were, goes down at about 1:59.

It's like the soundtrack to the NYC Sunday-at-twighlight coke hangover. The odd consequence of a binge beginning with a snort of the Strokes and hit its euphoric/melacholic peak with Interpol's NYC. I'm shocked it took so long.

Check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=241sv4INroI

More to come soon from tirado. No really. Shit's brewing.

For anyone to call themselves "the voice of a generation." That is absolutely preposterous. It's not prescient, it's myopic. He looks like R. Kelly in sunglasses.

I'd just like to follow up on this post with an objective review of Alejandro's premiere pavo carving feat. It was BEAUTIFUL! He did an amazing job, my mom (who has seen lots of carved turkeys) said it was the best turkey-carving she'd ever seen.

"All the classic English rock bands I always thought were American, and many more." Right on, brotha. I went years thinking EVERY band I knew was American. Everyone sounds "American" to me when they sing in English. Ha. Or did.

I'm not sure what I'd do without daily instant messaging exchanges with people. Maybe I'd get more work done. Thanks for the comments, Tip.

Wow, that pic takes me back. Reminds me of lots of things I'm thankful for like Trident Pollo, La Cupeteria, La Tienda de 24 Horas, Leonardos, Mahooooooooooooooooooou, The Eeeeerich Rober (well ok, not so much), Spanish teachers with booty for days, and most of all the flat and roomies. Oh yeah, and digital video cameras.

Really though, thankful for the interwebs and instant messaging. How amazing that we can all keep in touch with people from our past so effortlessly? For our parents you met someone randomly, they impacted your life, and faded off into obscurity. I'm thankful that for once Disneyland's predictions of the future proved true - it is a small world afterall.

American musicians? Forever thankful for and indebted to: Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, Kanye West (I can explain!), Miles Davis, Grant Green, Mason Jennings, Lil' Wayne, All the classic English rock bands I always thought were American, and many more.

Mostly though I'm thankful that I can be me.
