July 28 2010 Oso moved out to DF last month just in time to see us leave. It’s natural to wonder what Mexico City would have been like with my fiancee and a really good friend living in the city. It took a visit from David to enlighten my coffee ordering. Before him, it was puro americanos. After, cortaditos from Cafe Guardatiempo – a dingy cafe with no wifi about five minutes from my place – were the norm. It’s the type of experience that will be difficult to replicate in Los Angeles. March 17 2010 Los Angeles is experiencing a Winter heatwave and meteorologists are babbling about it as if glaciers are melting off the coast of Catalina. The sun felt nice today, but plastic grass is truly bizarre. You know what else is bizarre? Irish pubs around the corner from Little Ethiopia. Above, Osito soaking in the sunshine in Santa Monica instead of guzzling green beer. I heart LA.
