June 1 2010 “Mijo! Por que cuando estoy toda fea…” The reaction is the same each time I take a photo of my mom. Even though she’s adorable, she always thinks I’m taking a photo at the wrong time. Last night I arrived back home for the biggest wedding in our family in years. On the stove was a pot of Mengiche, a dip-like dish comprised of queso fresco and rajas.
