  1. Song Of The Day: Joy Division: “No Love Lost” In The Mountains Of Colorado.

It’s 10:57pm in Paonia, CO. The water tank is rumbling and is causing a stir in the household. It is usually deathly quiet at this time of night. Sometimes I’ll hear a dog bark. Other times I’ll hear the wind. Usually I’ll hear the bashing of moth wings against wooden panels; its stir-crazy act a normalcy in the country. The sound is about the most annoying noise I have ever had to endure for the duration of two weeks. If I’m lucky, I’ll hear the crawling of an obese fly on the tile floor, near my shoe, near my book,

  2. Song Of The Day: Little Dragon “Looking Glass”: Breathing Swedish Synth Fire.

Little Dragon is a Swedish Electronica group let by Swedish/Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano. They formed in 2006 and have since released their second full-length album titled “Machine Dreams”. The song you’ll hear today reminds of K-Mart parking lots, Teena Marie and cruising. I have yet to decipher the reason for this odd flashback, but I’m sure it’s the opening synthesizer snare and immediate Prince influences I hear. Listen to the track and maybe you can chime in. 3. Song Of The Day: Unleash Telekenisis! “Coast Of Carolina” Is Pop Delight.

I didn’t know Telekinesis before last month. It took a giant bag of soup dumplings, a YouTube propelled research session of their songs, and a Million Dollar Highway, windows down, red peaks towering over me, to finally solidify that I enjoyed these cats. Telekinesis is frontman Michael Benjamin Lerner‘s brain child and the band strums their power chords from the rain-soaked roadways of Seattle, WA. They’ve also proven to inspire major air guitar participation. Maybe you should stretch before listening to this song. More Song Of The Day here. Telekinesis Bio [via Last fm]
